I was destined to become an alternative body work therapist. From the time I was very young, I had an interest in helping people. I remember being probably 8 years old and helping a cousin get home from a playground after she had seriously injured her leg. As a teenager, I became a lifeguard at the community pool. It was here that I began saving lives. I was a member of a health club in high school then went on to nursing school where I became an RN. For 30 years I enjoyed many facets of the medical profession. Some of these included care of surgical patients, geriatric care, kidney dialysis, and home health care. However, my first love was the emergency department. This is where I spent most of my career. And yet as I reflect on those years, I realize they were all stepping stones to the most rewarding and beneficial profession in the world . . . alternative body work therapy.
The combined experience of alternative body work therapy and nursing allows me to facilitate the treatment and prevention of your pain and discomfort. In the past, I truly believed that pain pills and muscle relaxants were the best treatment for pain. My goal now is to enable you to be free of pain pills and muscle relaxants.
Since engaging in alternative body work therapy, I now understand that the body has the innate ability to heal itself. This outstanding manual therapy allows me to expedite this healing process. No chemicals or drugs, just assisting the natural healing of the mind, body, and spirit through the alternative body work therapy experience and the power of touch and pressure.
